gstack is an open-source “software factory” that structures Claude Code into a virtual engineering team. Its 23 skills correspond to roles: CEO (product direction), Designer, Engineering Manager, Release Manager, Documentation Engineer, and QA Lead. Workflows follow a sprint loop — Think → Plan → Build → Review → Test → Ship → Reflect — triggered through slash commands, with each stage producing structured Markdown artifacts. Created by Garry Tan, president of Y Combinator, and released in early 2026, gstack rapidly became one of the most-starred Claude Code skill collections on GitHub.
